全国气温骤降，坎特伯雷低至-11℃

一夜之间全国气温骤降，坎特伯雷地区的一个小镇录得-11℃ 的低温。

MetService 气象学家图伊·麦金尼斯（Tui McInnes）告诉 1News，在 Omarama 录得的 -11℃，是今年迄今为止记录到的最低气温。

与此同时，Wairarapa 的 Castlepoint 夜间气温最高，为 9.9℃。麦金尼斯这两个地方大约有 20℃ 的温差。

主要中心地区的情况也好不到哪里去，Whangārei 记录了 3.9℃。奥克兰部分地区的气温下降到 2℃到 5℃之间，而汉密尔顿“可能是最寒冷的主要中心地区，记录得 -1.4℃。

It has been very cold in some places overnight in Aotearoa/New Zealand, whereas some places have been nearly "tropical" by comparison (Omaramara's -10.9°C laughs at Auckland's 2.0°C).

陶朗加一夜之间的气温为 4.8℃，而惠灵顿的气温为 8.3℃。惠灵顿白天最高气温为 10.2℃。

当 Omarama 记录到 -11℃时，基督城夜间的温度为 -3.6℃，但尼丁的温度约为 0.9℃。麦金尼斯说，但尼丁的机场录得 -6.6℃。

麦金尼斯解释说，由于冷空气、稳定的天气和晴朗的天空的相互作用，导致了一个寒冷的夜晚。

他说，去年 6 月看起来“稍微暖和一点”，Omarama 的平均气温为 4.7℃。今年六月它已经看到了1.9℃。

然而，Castlepoint 的气温“高于平均水平”，McInnes 说。去年 6 月的平均温度是 12℃，而今年 6 月一直是 14℃。

汉密尔顿的夜间气温在 6℃或 7℃ 左右，而陶朗加将与奥克兰相似，夜间为 9℃ 或 10℃。

惠灵顿将看到 11℃ 左右的夜间低温，而基督城南部和但尼丁将看到 7℃。

麦金尼斯说，这对基督城的人们来说是个好消息，周六白天这个城市的气温将在 16℃左右。
